Equestrian Access to Remain Constant at McIntosh

A letter from Trudy Crunkleton, director of parks for Carroll County:

I would like to take this opportunity to dispel any confusion regarding trail usage at McIntosh Reserve. The County has not made any changes regarding equestrian use at the park. We welcome all visitors and appreciate the loyalty and good stewardship exhibited by our equestrian guests. We appreciate the families who chose to spend time at our park and hope they will continue to make McIntosh a part of their family traditions for generations to come.

We appreciate our equestrian guests as well as all park visitors abiding by park rules, and the rules are available online or at the park office. McIntosh Reserve is intended to provide an opportunity for people to enjoy nature and escape the daily stresses of life. Some guests take this opportunity to stroll along the river; others find that it's a perfect place to bring their dogs, and some find a nice horseback ride a great way to spend the afternoon.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions regarding McIntosh Reserve, John Tanner Park or any of our future parks.
