Carroll Tomorrow Announces New Economic Development VP

Carroll Tomorrow is pleased to announce that Brian Dill has been selected as Vice President of Economic Development and Global Commerce for the Carroll Tomorrow Economic Development Foundation, according to Daniel Jackson, President and CEO. 

A native of Irwin County, Brian is a 1994 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Political Science. Brian served on Senator Saxby Chambliss’ first campaign for Congress in 1994 and went on to work as a federal and state lobbyist for the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation.

He has spent 12 years in corporate and industrial business development and recruitment. Brian’s previous experience was as an economic development executive holding VP positions in state and local business recruitment with local Chambers of Commerce and statewide utilities in Atlanta, Newnan, Rome and Cumming, Georgia. Brian has entrepreneurial and small business startup expertise with an extensive background in corporate communications, government affairs, public policy, business planning, contractual negotiations, corporate budget management and capital expansion and relocation.

Brian is married to Carmen who currently teaches Family and Consumer Science and Consumer Economics at Forsyth Central High School. They have one son, Mason who is a Third Grader at Coal Mountain Elementary. The Dills will be relocating from Cumming where they are currently members of Cumming First United Methodist Church.

According to Jackson, “Carroll Tomorrow has been fortunate to have talented staff since it was created in 2001. With the recent kick-off of the new Carroll Tomorrow strategic plan named Advantage Carroll, the timing was perfect to find an individual with the skill set and experience to help us focus on business recruitment, site development, and new job creation.”

Through the recent strategic planning process, community leaders have created an aggressive plan with high expectations so we needed someone with the energy, drive, and experience to help us achieve our goals.”

Jackson states, “We have a strong team representing Carroll Tomorrow, the Chamber, and the Burson Center. I believe Brian will be a valuable addition to our staff. We have a full agenda but we also have many volunteers, partners, and stakeholders who will help us make it happen. I encourage everyone to meet Brian and welcome him to this great community.”
