Rec Department to Offer Zumba Classes

Local residents looking to get in shape for swimsuit weather will be excited to learn that the Carroll County Recreation Department will soon offer Zumba classes.

For those who aren’t aware, Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that incorporates music from around the world, all in all making workouts exciting and fun.

Beginning March 1, Carroll County will offer Zumba class at the rec department on Newnan Road in Carrollton. The classes will be held four times a week (8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, 8:45 a.m. on Thursdays and 10 a.m. on Saturdays).

Interested residents can sign up at the rec complex during business hours. For those who want to pick and choose what classes they attend, it’s $5 a class. Those who know their schedule in advance can pay $35 dollars total to go to two classes a week during the season, $45 to attend three classes a week and $55 to attend unlimited classes.
