Area business leaders gathered at the Burson Center in Carrollton on Wednesday as part of the 2011 Energy Summit.
Sponsored jointly by the local, the state and the national chambers of commerce, the event highlighted the energy needs of the future as well as what systems will need to be in place to ensure those needs are met.
Specifically, Brandon Dillard, the manager at Georgia Power's Plant Wansley, said nuclear power will be used and more and more as gas and coal prices continue to increase. Georgia Power is pushing for more nuclear reactors in Georgia and across the Southeast.
